Try Prolia, which is a shot you get every six months. I had that for about
ten years with no side effects. But the doc said she thought I needed to
take a break from it, a “drug holiday”! I hope I can go back to that,
although the copay is very high.
Good luck to you!

Just a quick comment for @gbear - Taking a drug holiday while on Prolia is NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Now if you mean switching over to Reclast for a year or so, then taking a holiday on Reclast, that makes sense. If you stop Prolia without follow-on treatment there is a really high risk of fracture for about 12-18 months as you lose a lot of bone density and structure.

PROLIA is just as bad as RECLAST. I had to take a Reclast Infusion because of taking 1 Prolia. Prolia gave me too many side effects and Reclast made me pass out and when I came to I was so sick for few days.

The reason I had to take Reclast infusion was because of taking 1 Prolia shot. I had many side effects from Prolia. Wish I never took it. But my Dr scared me into it.
