I first noticed my balance issues in 2017. I had back surgery that was supposed to cure the balance issues. No change. Physical therapy was also not successful. I made a appointment with a Hearing & Balance Clinic, which found "poor lower trunk control". Next was Neurologist #1, who confirmed PN. He suggested using a cane. I have tried every medication for PN, nothing worked. I spent $4000 to attend a Spine Clinic for eight weeks - no improvement. Neurologist #2 suggested using Volteran. No one ever suggested any kind of testing. I've finally found a neurologist that is taking me seriously. I've had a EMG, which shows nerve damage. I have a follow-up appointment to discuss the results.

You’ve really been thru it. Thanks so much for your response.

Check with your doctor to see if walking in a pool (preferably a warming pool) would be helpful for you. I have had several balance issues and water therapy has helped me tremendously.
