For me it turned out they had fractured 2 ribs during surgery. Very painful. It didn't show up on the X-ray, but luckily it showed up on a CT scan with contrast. Good luck!

My second VAT was significantly more painful than the first. The follow-up CT scan showed there was a new fractured rib. Risk of surgery, and I have osteoporosis.
