I was in the same boat taking Methotrexate and Prednisone at the same time. Sent me to neurologists, cardiologist, ENT, etc. and they ran every test they could I believe. All were inconclusive for cause of dizziness. Quit the methotrexate and dizziness got a little better. Rheumatologist said to try another cup of coffee? Started Kevzara about 5 weeks ago while tapering Prednisone. Currently down to 6 mg Prednisone and still have dizziness but less frequent and severe.

Wow I appreciate your comment so so so very much!!! it was extremely helpful for me to hear your situation. Right now I have seen many doctors also I have been in the ER and not that one doctor had any idea what was causing my dizziness! Again thank you so very much for relating your story to me it is so super helpful to hear that someone else has the same problem also. Wishing you the very very best going forward!!!

Hugs that things get better! Is it possible that the PMR/vasculitis is causing the dizziness for us? I have pretty bad but odd headaches also which started 4 months after the joint pain & stiffness. The temporal artery biopsy came back negative but it was done after 5 weeks on prednisone & 8 weeks on prednisolone eye drops.
What seems to help me the most is meditating. I also listen to binaural beats which seems to help.

I am still in the same boat that you were in with the dizziness from methotrexate. After seeing many doctors like you did this week I am going to see an ear doctor. I must say being dizzy and not knowing why is really no fun. this week aside from the ENT doctor I am also going to see my rheumatologist and see what she has to say. So far I have been off the methotrexate for one month I am still feeling dizzy! How long were you off your methotrexate when you started feeling a little less dizzy and how did you cope with it? When I feel dizzy I sometimes have to go into the doctors office using one of their wheelchairs which is also no fun!!! If you have any more helpful hints for me I would really really appreciate it!!! I am really running out of patience with this dizziness . my very very best wishes to you going forward!!!

I am off my methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine since June 1. There were times when my dizziness is not as bad as other times and I get so happy until it comes back again and then I’m very sad!!! Is there any rhyme or reason when you finally get off your medication‘s that were giving you dizziness? My rheumatologist said it takes about two months to get off the methotrexate. I’m just wondering when I’m going to get rid of this dizziness I’m getting impatient. Any information that you can give me would be very much appreciated thank you very much!!! My very best wishes to you!!!
