Is anyone having success with Plaquenil in addition to prednisone?

I have been on plaquenil 400 mg a day for 7 months and I am taping prednisone also. I am having several side effects from the plaquenil it seems so I have stopped it and I am having some resolution of the side effects very quickly. Is anyone else using plaquenil as treatment for PMR?
