first sex and hymen
hello, yesterday i had my first sex and i'm a little worried now. When he first inserted it in there was a noise like something popped. I didn't feel uncomfortable through the whole sexual intercourse, because he used his fingers first and a lube. At the end i had blood, but as i said it didn't hurt. Now i am worried about some kind of red appendage that's peeking out, i don’t know how to explain it . I've read that it can be the hymen but how do i remove it?

Welcome to Mayo Connect. I am not familiar with a hymen tag, that is extra tissue that might stick out of vagina.
There is an article from Cleveland Clinic about hymen:

I would NOT try removing it yourself. Seeing you have just become sexually active, I suggest you might want to follow up with your provider or a gynecologist for a pelvic exam to check the excess skin and talk about birth control and safe sex.

If you notice tissue hanging out of the vagina, it could be a remnant of the hymen or other vaginal tissue. After the hymen stretches or tears, it may leave behind some tissue that can sometimes be visible. However, if you are experiencing discomfort, pain, or any unusual symptoms, it is important to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate assessment and appropriate care.
In some cases, tissue that appears to be hanging out could also be related to other conditions, such as vaginal prolapse or other medical issues. A healthcare provider can provide guidance and treatment options if necessary. It's always best to seek professional advice for any concerns regarding your health.
