I have had GA for about 15 years now. First one showed up on my left ankle, and then 3 on my arms, then both legs. I have about 20 of them. Some are "rings" some are just red bumps. I have spent years just trying to cover them up. I love long sleeves and pants in winter because it hides them. The summer is worst! I use lots of concealer and the ones on my arms require just the right placement of jewelry to hide them. I have even used fake tattoos to cover some of them. Anyway as far as treatments, i have used the usual corticosteroid creams and ointments that the dermatologist suggested with no results at all. I have also used something called Cordran Tape, which also didn't work. I also tried the injections with no change at all!. i just went to a new Dermatologist yesterday who is going to be starting me on Hydroxychloroquine pills. Not sure if anyone else has had any good results from this, but I'll try it! I told the doctor i would try anything or pay anything to get rid of these things! I also tried using Vitamin E. I keep hearing it works for some people. I took it orally for a while and then i was told to use it directly on them. I did this for weeks and i have seen no results. I am now hopeful these pills will do something! Pray for me!

Hello,
This past summer I noticed the bumps starting on my hands and face at first I thought it was a allergy due to me being on dupixant for almost 4 years for severe atopic dermatitis. They started to spread i went to dermotologist by August and they did a biopsy on my hand and it was positive for GA, I have tried steroids creams everyone without success, tried injections in my hands and that worked for about 70% of tgem on my hands, they continued to spread. My dermotologist started me on Hydrochlorquine 250 mg daily but the nausea side effect was unbearable so cut the dose in half and was on it for about a month with lesions only spreading, start chloroquine daily and uvb photo light therapy 3x a week without success, went to a second opinion at a bigger dermotologist clinic they put me on methotrexate 2.5 MG once a week and Vitiman supplement rest of days and im continuing the chloroquine and light treatment as well with regular blood draws due to risks of these medicines, they also stopped me on dupixant the second dermotologist has a suspicion thats what caused mine. I hope you get relief soon, I am hopeful I will be following up with my local dermotologist monthly and my 2nd dermotologist every 3 months my next visit at end of April should be showing some relief if not alot I have been told. The lesions on my face itch terribly.
