Ivermectin parsite cleanse?

Posted by tiredandthristy @tiredandthristy, 5 days ago

My PSA is 5.080 which I know isn't terribly high but it also isn't so good.
I did a quick search on this site for ivermectin and found it talked about here and given I have a PSA that is inching up I decided to ask here.
Does anyone have experience with an Ivermectin (mixed with one other drug) "cleanse"?
Is it something that has validity or just the newest fad?
My only experience with Ivermectin is using it to treat street dogs and cats for parasites and it worked quite well. (yes, of course don't use vet Ivermectin....please don't waste time talking down to people).
I grew up around all kinds of parasites while camping, working on farms, working with street dogs and cats, catching ringworm etc. etc.. all my life. So a good "cleanse" seems like a good idea.
But is it? All the street cats and dogs absolutely loved the stuff, after the initial die-off. They all became much healthier afterwards but the food and love helped too.
Oh, and anyone with experience with it helping the PSA?

There is early research testing Ivermectin (among hundreds of other things) in-vitro against prostate cancer cells, but that's a very long way from knowing if it will eventually work on humans, much less determining *which* cancer situations it will make better or worse, or what the optimal treatment would be.

I wouldn't use it off-label to treat prostate cancer in 2025 unless you want to risk your health and life as a human lab rat in an uncontrolled experiment, but maybe 5–10 years from now they'll know more.

@tiredandthristy, there's a lot of information as well as misinformation circulating about ivermectin and its use as a treatment for cancer. It does not clear or cure cancer.

Ivermectin is used to treat river blindness (onchocerciasis), intestinal infection from threadworms (strongyloidiasis), and other kinds of worm infections. Ivermectin is an anthelmintic. It works by interfering with the nerve and muscle functions of worms, by paralyzing and killing them. (https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/ivermectin-oral-route/description/drg-20064397)

Researchers are studying Ivermectin to see if it may be used as an anti-cancer drug and early studies show promise. Please note that this research is in the early stages (mice studies) and has not yet been tested in human trials. Ivermectin is not yet a proven standard treatment for cancer or other off-label diagnoses.

Ivermectin and other dewormers (anthelmintics) like fenbendazole can cause irreparable liver damage.

Important
It is NOT safe to take ivermectin used in veterinary medicine. Please talk to your doctor before taking any over-the-counter medications or supplements that claim to fight or cure cancer or any other medical condition that is not its intended purpose. Never take medications or supplements without talking with your medical provider.

Here's a clear and well-written article about repurposed drugs being researched for cancer.

My husband did ivermectin and fenbentosal for a while when first diagnosed (didn't tell doctors) but his liver enzymes kept going up, to the point of them calling he was in liver failure but he felt fine, so he quit everything and numbers slowly got better.
We still have lots of friends who take it a few times a week and are supposedly fine.
I'm scared of it now

I do not have experience with Ivermectin.

I do have experience with a rising PSA. PSA’s can rise for many reasons and some of them are unrelated to cancer.

There are treatments proven to be effective for rising PSA in humans.

Depending upon the rate of rising PSA, you can either discuss with a Urologist the diagnostic tests to better determine the cause for the rise in PSA or find reliable references online at PCRI.org or PCF.org.

I'm so sorry that you went through that as a partner and caregiver, @beaquilter . I remember at the time that other people online (not here, of course) were telling your husband that his elevated liver enzymes were just the liver processing the "dead prostate cancer cells" that Ivermectin had dealt with.

There's no such thing as the liver processing dead cancer cells, of course, but the people who push this stuff have a plausible-sounding explanation for everything, and in the end, when it fails, they find a way to blame the victim for not doing it right.

I'm so glad he's getting proper treatment now. We all hope the liver damage isn't permanent, and that he'll see good progress from now on.

Well, what are you cleansing yourself of, and how does it relate to PSA? If you can’t connect those two dots you probably shouldn’t risk it.

You mean like taking the covid vaccine? I agree.
My main question, though, buried in the long paragraph is:
Does anyone have experience doing a "cleanse" using Ivermectin which is usually with another similar drug????
This is not meant to cure cancer but to cleanse the body of parasites which may eventually lead to cancer and other ailments.
