What was the second day like after macular hole surgery
I would like to find out what the second day is like after macular hole surgery. The first day of surgery I will have someone bring me home from the hospital. I intend to rest and sleep a lot. How is the second day? I have a surgeon appt, can I take an Uber? Any other tips or insights? Thank you

I recommend talking to your surgeon to find out all that you can about your expected condition and activity restriction. You may need to make arrangements for assistance and the sooner you do that the more secure you'll feel as you approach the surgery date.
Thank you for your reply. I am going to get in touch with the surgical coordinator. Good advice, thanks again
Well, how was your second day?
Is macular hole surgery the same as an LPI?
I haven't had surgery yet.
What is LPI
It stands for laser peripheral iridotomy. They say they do it to prevent pressure build up due to glaucoma or to people that have narrow angles.
I just wondered about it when you asked about the hole in the eye.
Have you had it done? Do you have glaucoma or macular degeneration?
No and no
I had an LPI and I have been miserable ever since. I never even needed it, so please be cautious if you have no real issues. My vision was great prior. The holes they put in my eyes messed up my vision so bad. It also caused progressive cataracts that I had no issue with prior either.
No my doctor has not mentioned that I need that procedure. Thank you for letting me know about it. I am so sorry you are going through your issues. Prayers for full recovery
