Has anyone heard of grounding shoes?

A friend has a pair of these sneakers that help her neuropathy, back and feet. They are cheap and can be ordered online.

Don't understand all that I have heard about Grounding Therapy. I tend to agree with @mikaylar. Seems like to me if there was much to it I would have no foot problems at all. I live in a house with a bare concrete floor poured on packed soil and go barefoot most of the day. Outdoors too as long as I don't have to walk on the road. BUT: My problems don't seem to be as severe as some others have reported. Who knows for sure?

I have PN with pain mostly in my calves. My grounding shoes are Hike's and wonderful. I can wear them all day where regular sneakers hurt my feet after a couple of hours. I have wide feet and Hike's have a very wide toe box that allows my toes to spread out helping my balance. The soles are quite thin so not good for walking in fields or wilderness where more protection is needed.

The only grounding I have heard of is taking off shoes and standing on grass/ground. There are issues when we only where rubber soles all day/everyday.

There are shoes that help people walk more comfortably with neuropathy pain but I haven’t heard of grounding shoes. I would rather go outside and take my shoes off and stand in the grass for free! 😉

@dlydailyhope Yes, I have. I e personally purchased 2 x because I love them. They seem to give my feet a massage. There is little support, but then grounding is about reaching the earth barefoot. They run about $79 and it is a very good company. It is my favorite item for my neuropathy.

You definitely want to do your research on the shoes and companies that sell them. I have read about some scams and difficulties with returns/refunds.

@dlydailyhope, fortunately not the Grounding shoes. I misordered my first pair by size. I needed the larger one. I tried to return them and they told me to keep them and send me the new size. I then gave them to a lady who had neuropathy to help her.
