@darleneporter: Hi! I can relate to the pain you are experiencing since wrist bone fusion. My right wrist surgery had ulnar bone cut apart with 2” removed, then S/S screw inserted at wrist - that remains. Many years have past but I do recall excurciating pain from elbow to shoulder and learned it was from the tournequet technique at shoulder used during surgery - seems like it lasted a couple weeks. The swelling and pain in wrist was helped by ice packs and elevation AND immobility. I tried to go back to work and it resulted in lots of discomfort, more swelling and only minimal use of my hand. I don’t feel physical therapy was much help- but it did feel good to be pampered. Also please be aware of the drugs they are prescribing- I believe the excess of drugs I was urged to take led to my liver damage and now cancer diagnosis. 🙁
I wish I could offer you a magic solution, but at least for my situation it was a long slow process. I have learned ways to accomplish adequate movement, but still have limited motion and somethings I just can’t do! I am grateful I am doing as well as I am! Best of health yo you..,

@darleneporter
Have you tried using Voltaren gel on your shoulder and elbow to help with inflammation pain? Have you tried Salonpas lidocaine pain patches on your shoulder/elbow for nerve pain?

Yes, thank you, I'm now using voltaren gel on my elbow and shoulder, it is helping some. Physical therapy also, fingers are really stiff, thank you for your help.
