Anyone use protective film like Mepitel and for how long were treatments? Did your radiation oncology discourage it? Did it help with harsh burns?

Thanks

I did use the film, I did 15 sessions of radiation. My doctor is a big fan of using it. I had absolutely NO burns.Radiation was the easiest part of my treatment. The film stays on for complete radiation regiment. It does start coming off and does look pretty messy by the end,but so worth it!!

I used Mepitel for 15 treatments and had no burns. I had to supply my own. The radiologist applied it the first time, and my husband did subsequent changes. I changed film approx once a week, whenever the loose edges got too close to the breast. Highly recommend this product!

I used mepiel and had zero skin reactions. I had a little rash above where they placed it so they might not have covered the complete area, but no skin reactions at all under the film. There have been a lot of studies on it showing it reduces radiation symptoms in breast cancer patients by 80%. Strongly recommended as well.
