Has anyone heard of either of the following clinics?

Has anyone heard of or been to
1. Kaplan Clinic in Virginia
2. Apheresis Clinic in Cyprus (the country of Cyprus)

I am really trying to find a Clinic to aide in my treatment. I have been dealing with Long Covid for over 5 years and am not able to walk without the assistance of a walker. I have tried an endless number of doctors and procedures here in the US and have seen no improvement.

@kentkemmerling1949 Have you considered Dr Bruce Patterson’s approach and protocol? Spend a few hours on YouTube listening to his interviews and see if it might be a possibility for you. I’ve been following his regimen since middle January and seeing improvement. It’s allegedly approximately 6 months and done.

I have not heard of those clinics, but I also am into my 5th year, and almost cured! My doctor is Dr. Jordan Vaughn in Birmingham, AL. I started treatment last July, all zoom, and in May it began to amaze me how I am feeling back to normal.

I’m sorry to hear you are suffering. Be careful to not fall for scams related to COVID clinics/treatments. I would not go out of country for treatment for this. If there is a legitimate treatment, it should be available within the U.S.

What are your current symptoms? What official diagnoses and treatments have you received? Were you vaccinated, what mRNA vaccines were you given, and were you given booster shots? How many shots would you say you received and how many times did you have the Covid infection?

Did you have any health issues before Covid? Were you hospitalized with Covid?

I am trying to do some "due diligence" in determining the legitimacy of any claims. I retired from the pharmaceutical industry in drug discovery and manufacturing and have been to or worked with the FDA to various degrees and agree in principle with you when you say any valid treatment would be available in the US. However there are trial treatments in other countries that are not approved in the US. So, I am open to others ideas, but skeptical of claims made by some for untested or unapproved treatments.

My symptoms are mostly total lack of balance and significant dizziness. My walking requires a rollator and is very questionable when using a cane. It has almost completely eliminated travel hobbies that require hiking or getting off the beaten path.

I got COVID in November of 2020 a few months before the vaccine was available but not hospitalized. I am otherwise healthy. In Jan. 2021 I got vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine. I have had 2 other boosters since. I have had COVID 3 times including the origin case. It took a couple months after the original case in 2020 before balance symptoms began and progressively got worse over the course of 4-6 months. I got turned down 3 times by Mayo Clinic so have used regional doctors (Indianapolis area) until I started treatment at Cleveland Clinic a few months ago.

I have had 3 complete series of vestibular testing including one at Cleveland Clinic. My vestibular system was normal I have been through 6 long sets of physical therapy with no benefits observed using specialty PT's for 4 of the sessions. I went to the leading neurologist in the Indianapolis area and 2 visits to 5 specialists at Cleveland Clinic including one that has me on a test protocol of low dose naltrexone. I feel a bit stronger, but my walking is no better. I also had 24 rounds of IVIg infusions lasting 3 hours each. That seemed to help a bit with neuropathy in my left foot, but nothing else.

I have been tested for MS, Parkinson's and Lyme and all tests were negative. So I am desperate for something to help.

Did you travel to Alabama as a part of your treatment? I am trying to decide the best alternative for me. Did you deal with the "micro-clots" as a part of your treatment?

THANK YOU for sending me this recommendation!! I have just listened to a couple of his presentations and am really excited. I was also a molecular biologist, which has helped to vaguely understand his approach (I got a degree in 1973, so I am FAR from knowing what he is saying, but at least follow along a tad bit). I am going to continue to dig deeper into his info.

Specific to apherisis, it appears this is an expensive process that does not have a long term impact.

There are sites in the USA that do this.

I did not have to travel to Alabama. Yes, I had micro clot testing done by Dr. Vaughn. A local medical lab drew my blood and sent it to Birmingham. It showed I had a 3 out of possible 4 score on micro clots. All my appointments have been via zoom. As you probably know, all bills are self pay. Right now my insurance does not cover any charges. However, my insurance does cover my prescriptions. It does not cover all the supplements. I’m almost well. It has worked for me. My life is almost back.
