Wow, I don't get your doctor's apparently cavalier attitude towards your low heart rates either. Did your doctor see your low heart rates on an EKG or monitor or is he taking your word for your low heart rates?
Thing is, any arrhythmia, including bradycardia, must be documented to be considered as a patient diagnosis, and treated. I'd think that your low heart rate would be a matter of record from your ER visit, and could be followed up by a cardiac monitor which could be used to show those low heart rates, along with any symptoms you report during those episodes- your doctor, I'd think, could at least order one of those monitors to see what's there. Or, if he's not a cardiologist, he could refer you to one, possibly a cardiac electrophysiologist (EP) ( specialists in heart rhythm disorders) to investigate your bradycardia further. I recall it wasn't until my cardiologist referred me to an EP that my bradycardia was taken seriously and I received a pacemaker. It might be time to find another doctor if your current doctor won't carry out the testing needed to verify, classify, and treat your bradycardia.
And that's a pretty impressive blood pressure you had when you reported to the ER, hopefully they were able to get that under control and your blood pressure has been stabilized since then. I've also had high blood pressure since I was a young woman ( genetic, for me), and I'm told that uncontrolled high blood pressure can be the cause, or at least a significant contributing factor in many other conditions. So it's important to get that under control as well. Best of luck.
