Has anyone tried or heard of a ketamine infusion early evidence suggests ketamine may offer systematic relief for patients with dealing with these debilitating long covid symptoms

Well, it IS used for depression, and some people find antidepressants helpful for LC.

My son had a ketamine infusion but unfortunately it only relieved his symptoms for a couple of weeks.

He has had long covid for over 3 yrs, His symptoms are neuropathy in his feet, tingling and numbness, heat sensitivity and his heels constantly feel bruised making it difficult to walk.

We have seen so many specialists, numerous blood tests, nerve conduction tests and no real answers.

He is now on a gluten free and low histamine diet to limit inflammation. He has also started on NAC which supposedly breaks down the spike protein. I hope this works.

Good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery

Thank you and so sorry to hear about your son’s ongoing Post Covid health trials.
I’m heading towards the 3 yr mark , ( I can’t say living with the post long Covid health issues because this is not living)
My symptoms include but not limited to a constant left sided headache, brain fog, my concentration is significantly decreased, I can’t read longer than a few lines, any longer my headache intensifies, I’ve never felt overwhelmed in my life, now even the background noise is too much noise.
I’m experiencing neuropathy in all my lower limbs, my arms from my elbows to my fingertips, my legs from around mid thigh right down to my feet, feels like really nasty pins and needles, tingling and numbness, sensitivity to touch, the underneath of my feet and my heels are constantly in pain even at rest, making it challenging to get any quality of sleep or rest at.
I find it difficult with walking, and walking up and down stairs is excruciatingly painful.
My body temperature regulator is impaired I get overwhelmed overheated and hungry for air, despite the windows open.

My breathing has settled down a lot, a few months ago, I couldn’t say a sentence without losing my breath, and needing to sit-down and take a drink of water, not so out of breath all the time now, it is better with my breathing and temperature if I’m near a window or better still when I’m outdoors and keep my water bottle with me.

I do push through with any activity but find the time afterward and even for the next few days, weeks following, I’m thoroughly fatigued and the pain increases.
I go to a Hydrotherapy pool, and persevere, because I need to do something, but the heightened skin senitivity l experience whilst getting into the water is very painful and getting out of the water is excruciatingly painful.
I have found using a floating device helps me because if I’m walking on the hard surface of the Hydrotherapy pool my feet are just so painful.
I’ve been thoroughly assessed, including trials of multiple medication. I’ve had a Lignicaine infusion, sleep studies seen specialists, numerous blood tests, nerve conduction tests, I’ve sought advice and services from alternative health services and just as your son I have no answers.
The only common thread from all health specialists is that my health trials are Post Covid symptoms.

If I remember I’ll post the outcome of the ketamine infusion.

I hope that you all get some quality of life back, because the post covid symptoms being experienced is not living😪
