Latest blood draw
I just received the results of my latest blood draw and am curious if anyone here who has had CLL had their diagnosis change to PLL and what am I looking at?

First of all, I would like to say thank you to the warm welcome I have received coming to this group, I started my journey with leukemia with another group that I have been with three years now, and I will always call them my home group, but as the saying goes, you can never have enough friends. So, I now have a second home here, thank you for that.
Now as for my visit with my oncologist this afternoon, the first thing he said to me was that I need to stop reading the reports because that only causes confusion and stress. He then said that though the pathologist saw that "some of the lymphocytes have prolymphocytic appearance..." my oncologist stated that my numbers do NOT indicate any sort of change, or mutation, and he went as far to state that he himself, and he is in his 60's, has never seen a case of PLL. SO, he wants me to stop reading my test results, remain on my 3-month cycle of "Watch & Wait" protocol, and trust that I will more than likely live into my 80's as long as something outside of my CLL does not interfere.
I do want to say that I consider myself to have a pretty strong faith, but this cancer sure sucks when it comes to messing with my mind.
I pray that everyone here continues to be blessed and that in the end we can all say that we "...ran the good race."
Thank you for posting your "common sense" visit with your oncologist. These are words we all need to hear. In 2022, I received my diagnosis of breast cancer, blood cancer, Sjogren's Disease (I already had several autoimmune diseases), and small fiber neuropathy, within a few months. I really startled my breast surgeon as she assumed I would need some comforting words from her. I was already very accepting of it, knowing we had discovered it early. I just really wanted to know what was affecting my balance so badly. That came much later with the large fiber neuropathy diagnosis. I knew I had a good surgeon and oncologist. (Record search, the internet is good for some things.) Sadly, we have all been affected by the "C" word. Anything associated with it carries its own baggage. So, being hard headed is not such a bad thing. Just go your own way. We are on our own separate journey, but we can support eachother.
