That drug has black box warnings from the FDA. I met a woman who got Leukaemia from taking it. I refused to take it. Blueberries lower them naturally. Avoid iron avoid leafy greens. Please be careful with that.

Hi @kalashnikitty, As members in Connect we’re able to share our experiences but we are not allowed to offer medical advice. You’ve apparently been fortunate to see a change in your platelet level by eating blueberries and watching your diet. There are some forms of blood cancer and conditions that simply can’t be treated with diet alone, most, in fact.
We’d all love to be able to eat blueberries to cure our blood cancers. But it’s not realistic to suggest this for everyone. In fact, I eat blueberries daily, and have for years. I still developed leukemia, long before ever requiring chemo.

Without any validation, scaring people, such as myself, who have to rely on traditional chemotherapy isn’t helpful and can possibly deter them from following the treatment guidelines set by their degreed, knowledgable hematologist oncologists. While I’m happy blueberries have worked for you, this may not be the case for everyone.

Were you diagnosied with a blood cancer? What has your oncologist discussed as an alternative treatment to Hydroxyurea if your current program doesn’t continue to work?
