What should i do? My vision is deteriorating
Hey so I started having blurry vision where my vision would unfocus and become blurry 1 year ago since I started wellbutrin, 6 months ago at least I went off it and my vision improved but not fully resolved, 3 months ago I caught flu/covid and since then my vision problems became severe, my vision unfocus every 1 second to the point I feel half blind, I went to a eye doctor which didn't do a eye test with dialate drops since I already had one 7 months ago but did the basics without dialation and sent me to do oct test which I am doing tommorow, I am really scared that I am going blind and dont know what going on.

You have indeed been one of the lucky ones. Your comment is why I said “most” in my first reply to the original post. I know many more who have not been so fortunate.
My husband will not go to a dr even if he needs to because of what he has seen what I have been through.
I do not want to be so jaded, but too many have suffered at the hands of drs who have not been held accountable because people assume they can be trusted. Not all can.
Eyes affect the brain for sure. That is a fact. I wish I had never seen an eye dr and just dealt with the dry eye issue. I was very fortunate to have better than perfect vision until I was lied to and had an LPI. Destroyed my vision.
I hope you find an honest dr and be very careful about trusting them to do procedures that will make you even worse.
Bringing this discussion back to you, @ariza9110. Members like @mikaylar @kayabbott @seniormed @sjs1 @mauigirl17 @tammyq39 @jeanrod825 @eileenberta offered some ideas for possible issues to look into or to be ruled out. They all agree that you should seek medical care from a top notch specialist if that is possible - sooner than later.
It's understandable that you're scared. I hope you are able to get an earlier appointment or to be seen by urgent care if things get worse.
How are you doing today?
Yes…I would also be very concerned if eyes suddenly got worse!
What Kay said is very correct. Dry rye and mites are common issues. Has an eye dr ruled that out yet? Dry eye is very hard to deal with and I use warm compresses as well. If that helps some, that is a good way to test if dry eye is the main culprit first. Of course drs will also say age is a factor as well.
I wish you luck and hope you find a good dr. They are very hard to find. Best advice I can give to anyone is to do lots of research snd get other opinions before letting them do ANY kind of procedure.

not good, i went to a neuroopthamologist, she was really rushed and said "its not something for her to deal with" then i went to a eye doctor which only checked my eyes with dialation, what tests/things should i look for next?

I agree with Colleen that you need to go to a top notch optamologist who has the necessary experience. Concider going to one the top eye research centers in the US such as Bascom Palmer or Wills. They will spend a whole day examining your eyes and make recommendations for your specific condition and they may be able to recommend a local doctor for you if you ask. I have been to Bascom Palmer 4 times in the past 30+ years as I fight glaucoma. I currently go to recommended eye doc who did fellowship at Bascom Palmer. I'm 80 now and have lost central vision in left eye and have about 50% of field left in right eye. I'm on 3 eye drops: Pilocarpine, Dorzolomide, and Rocklan.

3 ReactionsThank you for mentioning the Wills in Philadelphia. I have been considering making a trip to be examined. Does anyone have any thought about Cleveland Clinic Eye Center. I have Fuchs Disease, supposedly mild but needs to be watched. I need a very good Opthamologist with experience in cataracts and Fuchs Disease.
What is Fuchs’ Friends®?
Fuchs’ Friends is The Corneal Dystrophy Foundation’s private online support group. It is a place of information, shared experiences and support for people with all types of Corneal Dystrophies. Cleveland Clinic for Fuchs treatment has been discussed on this support group. You can look up the recommended Fuchs surgeons in their directory. Fuchs surgery is very specialized and is a delicate surgery and difficult to perform.
