They do lit reviews on supplements to show whether or not science supports a supplement's use for the intended purpose, if there are precautions or contraindications to using it, and then they test and compare brands to verify a brand contains the desired substance in the amount stated (many do not), if they have been found to be contaminated, and what the price per dose is. I'm a retired advanced practice nurse and feel better knowing I am buying a tested product since the supplement industry is under regulated.
