Hi @hanni6179 . Welcome to Connect!
It sounds like your cardiologist is making sure you get off to a good start with Repatha by checking your numbers as soon as he thinks you will start to see a change. It’s a bit of a quirky drug, different because it’s every 2 weeks so you will want to let him know if you notice any symptoms that may start creeping up on you around injection times.

I have familial hypercholesterolemia (genetically high cholesterol). Repatha didn’t work for me. My dad takes Repatha, rosuvastatin and ezetimibe. I believe I have other family on the same mix as you regularly.

I was told Repatha and statins have a synergy that achieves a larger reduction in LDL than if you added their individual effectiveness together. That may be something you could ask your cardiologist.

Are you having problems controlling your cholesterol? Do you have other risk factors in addition to high LDL?

@jlharsh Thanks for your input. I am having problems with body aches on most statins therefore my dr is trying to get me off of pravastatin and ezetimibe and replace with Repatha.
2nd injection was Sunday. Yesterday, I had a cramp in upper left leg that disappeared after 15 seconds. Then later in the afternoon, my upper right leg cramped for 5 seconds. I was walking with new Dankso sandals so the adjustment could be impacting my body. I will keep monitoring for any anomolies and report to my dr.

Thank you.
