When to accept permanent long covid?

I’m sorry for all the suffering going on with long covid, it’s just frightening to hear how many people are still so very sick from this pandemic virus. Sadly, we had to learn very slowly as to what we are dealing with, the stories are vast and symptom vary but many are similar. I had a very bad opinion about the doctors who didn’t know what to do or simply tried to make me feel that it’s all in my head and I should seek help from a psychiatrist. I too have long covid and it primarily affected my heart, also had many tests to no avail, I live with it now and sometimes it’s better but there are relapses. I also had to learn how to survive with cancer at the same time so it’s a lot to deal with. I can’t prevent the cancer from recurring, no one can no matter how hard they try but I can control covid by simply wearing masks in public places, I don’t want another covid infection because it leaves you with so many horrible symptoms, what worries me is that people have long covid and are still suffering after covid but they still go outside without a mask leading to multiple infections…most complaints are that masks feel uncomfortable and annoying, I agree with that but the alternative is getting infected again and more long covid to deal with, which one would you prefer??

I just wanted to add that I have met many people who have never had a vaccine because they weren’t comfortable with it but they chose to wear masks instead, to date none have ever had a covid infection.

Thanks for your reply. So we'll stated. So sorry what you are going through. Very best wishes and best of luck for you.
