I have positive dysphotopsia, which means I have constant flickering in the outside corner of my eye. It's extremely annoying. It's far worse in bright light, like florescent light. Grocery stores, Target, etc are hard. I have read that it can be your brain trying to adjust to the new lens. I have also read that a square edge lens is worse than a round edge lens because the light hits the lens on the square edge. I have a square edge. I also researched the lens they gave me after this happened and found out that this lens isn't ideal for someone who had LASIK, which I did. It really ticks me off that my doctor didn't pay attention to that. He also didn't warn me that this was a possible complication. Luckily, I only did one eye. I'm hoping I can find some help. Everyone says cataract surgery is fabulous. It's not.

You’ve probably read the entries in “Positive Dysphotopsia after Cataract Surgery” where I and others put our experiences. Good that you can do some research before having surgery on the 2nd eye. Good luck!

I agree. I was not so lucky either. I have been miserable since getting cataracts removed. I developed the cataracts after an unnecessary LPI done to me. I was told getting the cataract surgery would help, but it made the glares, halos, and watering even worse. Then they said I had scar tissue. They used a laser on one eye and it did nothing to help.

I wish I had never ever went to an eye dr. All I had was dry eye before. My vision was better than 20/20. Now my eyes are ruined.
