You might want to discuss taking modafinil (Provigil) with your medical provider. My daughter is on a dose lower than the smallest tablet made, so be willing to experiment with a small dosage if a more standard dose isn't tolerated. I found I had too many uncomfortable side effects of jitteriness, hyper alertness, etc. , so it didn't help me even at a very low dose. You might want to start with a dose as low as 25 mg/day, but by all means do this under the supervision of your medical provider.
So sorry, I have no answers...the cough was treated early on by my MD, steroid inhaler, Flonase, allergy pills, Mucinex...after a year it's greatly diminished.
Lots of rest, some days are better than others. All the symptoms I mentioned, I just put up with. I sleep and meditate a lot.
