I’m being interviewed by NBC Chicago on long Covid this week. Help

NBC Chicago is doing some segments recognizing the five year “anniversary” of Covid. One segment is on long Covid. The Principal Director of the RECOVER studies Dr. Nirav Shah will speak of his research and I was asked to be interviewed as a participant.

I’m going and will publicly disclose my medical issues to bring awareness to long covid. Are there short comments I should consider mentioning about life with long Covid?

They will probably edit it down to fit their story, but I’d like to answer questions with all your long Covid experiences in mind.

I speak again with the PR person tomorrow for more info.

I,m going to Bryuere health center for memory testing,Ottawa end of July. Curious to see if they link to my other post COVID symptoms(brain fog,food intolerances, dizziness, unintentional weight loss, peripheral Neuropathy) so far no doctors discuss long COVID with
me.So memory loss interests me too. All the best,Sue

My husband goes to the LC Covid Clinic at the University of Texas - And in the patient population, there are almost an equal amount of people that had the vaccine as did not get the vaccine, that have LC - so that would indicate there is not a causation - However, there are over 200 symptoms, some things work for some people that don't work for others. Either way, it's a terrible mystery and not understood. I hope you get to feeling better!

I would try prayer and fasting. The Lord lets us sometimes have something that is t easy and we need to have faith that it will work out because He always stays with us. I will keep your healing in my prayers. I will pray for comfort. Joyfulness and strong faith for you. pastor.

Seems many drs don’t know and don’t want to bother with LC symptoms. I have checked into the nicotine patch and read many people having good results. Dr Ardis uses this

Thank you for helping to shine a light on those of use left behind five years after the pandemic. Long COVID is an identity-shattering illness. I went from active, outdoorsy, healthy mom to one who can't do much besides work remotely as a writer and lie in bed resting from that work. And I'm one of the lucky ones who can still work.
