Any updated information on OsteoStrong results?

Posted by debbik @debbik, Nov 15, 2024

I see a post on OsteoStrong but the info is from 2019-2020. Is there any new evidence out there, or anyone that has had positive results from this? The closest OsteoStrong class to me is about two hours away, but I'm thinking if it truly is effective, it is worth the drive.

Has anyone tried OsteoStrong? I'm very curious if this program works. I have osteoporosis. Medication is not for me for a variety of reasons. I practice Yoga around three times a week, hike weekly, walk daily, also do body sculpting with light weights. I take Bone Support liquid by Blue Bonnet daily. That's enough about me lol! I'd love to hear people's experiences with OsteoStrong. Thank you.

I am beginning my third month with Osteostrong, so won’t know any benefits until a new REMS scan which won’t be for a while. I use Osteostrong with other activities and targeted supplements to try and battle osteoporosis. Fingers crossed it will at least stabilize me.

Thank you so much for responding. Good luck with OsteoStrong. I’m still on the fence.

Thank you for sharing that. I wonder if OsteoStrong is kind of gimmicky. Cost is $1,900 for the year. I was given a cursory tour (if you wanna call it that) of the machines. The workout is a total of fifteen minutes once a week. I think I could press against a wall with my arms then my legs and get the same results... if there really are any.

I just had my second REMS bone scan. The first one was a year ago, right after I first joined Osteo-Strong. It showed osteoporosis in my hips and osteopenia in my spine, which was consistent with a DEXA scan I did a few months earlier. My REMS scan this week showed my hips have gone from osteoporosis to normal and my spine from osteopenia to normal. I don't know how much of a factor Osteo-Strong has been, because I've done other things over this past year that may have contributed to these results - including more weight bearing exercise, strengthening and swimming, collagen, more protein, along with other supplements. But I plan to continue with each of these things since something seems to be working.

The science of Osteostrong is compelling but you are actually using each of the 4 machines for about 10 seconds so it seems so brief. I do feel a little tired afterwards though.
There are other kinda wacky things they offer like “red light therapy”, bio-charger” etc. that isn’t supported by evidence.
So, I was willing to give it a try. At least I didn’t get worse. Some people see improvement 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Melioguide with Margaret Martin is an online osteoporosis program as is Kaari’s Strength Training and Yoga for Osteoporosis program. It is also listed on the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation's Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention Month page.
The BHOF's mission is to provide both medical practitioners and patients alike with unbiased, research-backed information about bone health and osteoporosis management. Both the BHOF and the International Osteoporosis Foundation recommend strength training as a safe and effective intervention for osteoporosis. This program is available online, shows you how to use body weight(push ups with arms on counter). You can google these research based programs.

That is my plan to not continue Osteostrong, and focus on weight training. I just got a 10 lb. Weighted vest for walking dogs every day.
