@magsusan When I was at Mayo for spine surgery, before surgery, they had me use the topical antibiotic ointment mupirocin in my nostrils twice a day for awhile to make sure there would be no staff infection. That works great every time I get a sinus infection and I can clear it in a couple days before it moves to my lungs. My doctors let me have a prescription for it. I don't know if it helps what you have, but just a thought.

My ENT has me add a tiny blob of mupiricin to my nasal rinse along with the saline + budesonide + 1 drip of baby shampoo when I have infection.
