Has anyone had kyphoplasty for an osteoporosis compression fracture?
Has anyone here had kyphoplasty for an osteoporosis compression fracture? Did it help with pain? How long does it last? How long did it take to heal? Would you do it again. My doctors want me to do this and I'm terrified.

So sorry to hear, but glad you found relief. Could you see an endocrinologist sooner to discuss meds?
I just had kyphoplasty for T12 vertebra. I thought I'd be "up and about" in 3 days. Going on a week now but? I can tell getting better. Pretty easy outpatient experience. "Jury still out" on alleviation of pain...More time is needed to verify.
I had a compression fracture on #ll. As a result I have organ crowding. I used to have a completely flat abdomen; now my abdomen is very bloated and sticks WAY out. I still have the pain I had before. I always feel like I just ate a huge meal; it's miserable. I was not told there could be side effects like organ crowding. I am furious. I made a terrible mistake. I wish I had not had the procedure (Kyphoplasty).
