Follow up ct scan
Hi everyone. I went in for my follow up CT yesterday and am spiraling with worry. The tech was very reassuring with me and told me these nodules were very very common. I haven’t heard anything from my doctor yet today. I’m wondering if that is a good sign and yes I’m reaching a bit. How long did it take to get your results? Sick with worry.

My concern is that it has gone from 8mm to 10mm? I read that there could be a margin of error. I wonder why the first report didn't indicate the fissure nodule and granuloma (second report said they were there in the first one) Doctor is saying it's benign and no follow up necessary at this time? Wondering if I should have a pulmonolgist look at this to make sure? Thank you all for your support and for listening. Big hugs.
hi, wondering if you have your results yet
Report says 10mm GGO that is stable. Calcified granuloma and some type of inter fissure nodule. The GGO measured at 8mm 5 months ago so I am very concerned about that. They are not recommending any follow up at this time. I am talking with my doctor today at 9:30 and pray that he will bring clarification to what all this means but stable is good and I am thankful for that.
Any news?
Thank you for asking.
Two very small nodules, nanograms, and that's it! Whew!
How often should my pulmonologist order ct scans ? Anyone ? Thanks , Crystalina
every six months is a common schedule
I wondered . I haven’t had one in 23 months . My pulmonologist is strange . Last thing he asked me was “How long since you had a cold or influenza. “ I told him it was Oct of 2021. Then he turned me over to the NP. She does take my vitals . It’s a medical desert here . Bless all of you . Thank you for the answer. Crystalina.
I do not have MAC now, my stats are good, and I have only had one exacerbation (while I had Covid) in the past year. So I am scheduled every 2 years unless something changes. I have heart issues too, and the cardiologist says " we only repeat if something changes"
After years of too many CT scans I'm glad they are conservative.
If were me. I would want a pulmonologist to be involved.
