I've had fibromyalgia most of my life, and I'm 74 years old. In my 40s, I went all out searching for answers, and I found that what helped most was eliminating as much stress as possible and learning to relax in spite of the stress I couldn't get rid of. I listened to self-hypnosis tapes on relaxation. I meditated. I studied dream interpretation, and my dreams told me a lot about my illness. These things may not appeal to a lot of people, but they really did help me at the time. Unfortunately, at the present time I have a lot of stress that I can't eliminate, no time for meditation or hypnosis, so I deal with it the best I can. The only pain medication that helped is Excedrin, and I take the generic (Equate Headache Relief). It helped my migraines, as well as joint and muscle pain. I still take it at least once a day. Without it, I hurt all over. I hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the insight. I didn’t know Excedrin helps fibromyalgia pains.
