I understand. I went off Repatha after having severe side effects that stopped so many life activities. I waited, hoped, and prayed if I waited long enough…the effects would eventually get better. Nope! So on Nexletol (doing very well) until I see the lipids specialist. Thank you all for the information and support.

I’m truly happy that you don’t have side effects. ❤️Since I have had side effects with all the drugs my doctor has prescribed in attempts to lower my cholesterol and because it takes months to get back to normal, I just am not willing to continue the drug experiments. And, it wouldn’t surprise me if a few years from now they said not to take any of them. I do think we must be responsible to keep our weight down, eat fresh organic foods, exercise daily and sleep to maintain good health. And, of course, not smoke or drink hard alcoholic beverages.

These are the listed side effects for Nexketol. I’m sure I would experience that, and, what else is it doing to my body. If I die sooner, at least I will feel good, we all die sometime.
Common side effects include cold or flu-like symptoms, muscle spasms, back pain, and stomach pain. More serious side effects include increased uric acid levels, potentially leading to gout, and tendon rupture or injury, especially in those over 60 or with other risk factors. A full list of potential side effects can be found in the referenced document.

I am so skeptical about so much of this.

I have lowered my LPL LOa and raised my HPL by the life style changes and Beta Sitestrol OTC and I feel good, I’m strong and athletic. I’m 77 years old.
