I am very sensitive to FODMAPs and much more. For carb issues, like fructose, I take Intoleran's Fructase enzyme supplement (I actually take all of their supps, I am so sensitive).
I am very interested in anything I can learn about fructose malabsorption. I have a severe issue with it as well as being gluten and dairy intolerant and eat basically nothing. This has been an issue for 50 years. How can I be sure to see all the recent posts on the subject?

If you put in "fructose malabsorption" or any other keyword you'd like, you can search all of the discussions and comments in this group on that topic.
You mentioned you eat basically nothing. What do you eat on any given day?

Thanks for your suggestions. I have joined the group and have also searched under fructose malabsorption and read posts. Unfortunately, I am VERY intolerant and even the slight amount of any of gluten, dairy, fructose has dire effects. So, a lot of the suggestions, will not benefit me. Daily menu: breakfast, hamburger patty, sauteed canned spinach, coffee; lunch, chicken thighs, veggies; dinner, protein, veggie, lettuce with avocado. Meat: hamburger, pork chops, salmon, cod, chicken breasts, chicken thighs, steak; veggies: broccoli, brussel sprouts, green beans, zucchini (very small portions of each). That's it--nothing more. Celiacpt, I misspoke and take Quatrase and Starchway and cannot eat much fruit. I think if these two work, the Fructase will too. Intoleran sells test packs now for $6. Try it with a bit of the fruit you are avoiding. I remember reading that they recommended newbies start with three capsules, to ensure a good result. If you discover you need less, great! Right now I take one of the two I mentioned at every snack or meal. I would be in trouble if I didn't. Good luck and let me know if you try it and how you do. Maybe you'll give me courage to try "real" fruit.
celiacpt, your comment got me thinking. I will add Fructose to the other Intoleran supps I am taking and see what comes of it when I drink my fruit smoothie. I'll let you know.

I should have tried the Fructase earlier! As my main fruit was papaya, and it is supposed to contain digestive enzymes, I didn't try Fructase (though I had a box).
I can now say it works for me and calms my gut after eating papaya. I just take one, along with my other digestive enzymes from this company.
Note that I have IBS-C (and other gut\health problems) that all add up to making me hypersensitive to almost all foods. Stress/anxiety also plays a significant role in my IBS-C, as does other things.
Anyway, to answer your question, I buy them online from a European company called Intoleran.
Does the Intoleran's Fructase enzyme really work?

Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, @celiacpt. Feeling like you can basically eat nothing sounds really hard. So much of life surrounds food.
What I'd suggest for you to do is go to the home page for this Mayo Clinic Connect support group:

Thanks for your reply.Where do you purchase the enzymes that you use?
