Yes be very concerned. I am out 12 years and in constant pain. All tests show no problems! Cannot put weight down on that leg so daily chores hard. Yet I can ride my bikes ok and swim.
Try not to despair because that does no good but the docs are good at pacification and obfuscation but not at giving you your original parts back….

Has your doctor considered particle disease? My sister had it in her hip (many years after the original replacement) - the prosthesis starts shedding particles and the body's immune system attacks them, causing inflammation, and deterioration of the bone and surrounding muscle. She had to have a revision surgery to go in clean it all out, remove and replace the problematic parts of the prosthesis. Her original surgeon kept telling her he couldn't find anything wrong.

Mark I loved your wanting your old parts back! I can bike with no pain and have since my 1st surgery in 2017. I've had two revisions. Both have been 2 stage and a series of pik line antibiotics both times. All have loosened. Looking at a probable fusion this time since last revision was a hinge replacement. I wish I had my old parts back too! Other knee is not great but sure better than revised one! If anyone has had this experience please let me know. I don't think my body likes foreign objects. Wishing everyone a painless day.
