Review: I'm 70 now. COVID March 2020. Since COVID I have had dreams with a repeating theme. I'm trying to get to work, (but I retired in 2017). So why am I focusing on work? It's when I worked in an old building which had an elevator that sometimes didn't work well so I would walk up the 5 flights of stairs. In the dream, I can't get to work and the stairwell is always blocked by debris. It all relates to the feeling of uselessness. I had about a year of mild brain fog which cleared up mostly by March 2021 when I stopped eating gluten. COVID leaves you with the feeling that you are not on your game. You can't think quickly like you did beforehand. Your PCP says you are just getting older but this ability to figure things out and be organized changed quickly, And along with this comes worry and anxiety which makes the thinking worse. and especially effects short term memory. What brought back my scientific think ability and memory? It was better after my March 2021 diet change (No gluten, no dairy, no deli meat, no red meat) but I think it was the one ounce of pumpkin seeds a day which I started eating in Oct 2024 which returned me to pre COVID thinking. Why? I don't know but that's the only change over the past two years. COVID is a whole body inflammatory response and the pumpkin seeds appear to address that?

So sorry to see this, but I share the same concerns.

I feel as though we’re twins, sharing the same horror. The one thing that helps me a little is to do puzzles like Wordle (look it up if you need to). When I need to concentrate on the answers, the “nasties” tend to go away.

Oh, yes. What is more logical to do for the hours of physical sedentary existence but puzzles of all kinds. At least the brain can be challenged, even if the body is not.

I found a Wordle-like game that you can set the amount of letters and play as many games in a day as you wish. The app is called, "PuzzWord". Along with that, I've discovered several free games in Words with Friends, besides the actual WWF games you have going.

I wish we lived near one another. No friends here REALLY understand what we go through. Now I’m getting worse about remembering my words when I try to talk to someone. SO aggravating.

Yes. Disturbing dreams...not nightmares....but vivid and sometimes depressing. I wake up in the night and early mornings& have to calm myself down.

Sorry if I can’t get through to some of these — suffice to say that all this long Covid stinks!

suefish, Bless you. I have those when I take Zyzal... an antihistamine. Do you take an antihistamine or any new
medications by chance? It's amazing how meds can cause weird dreams.

Praying for you to have sweet undisturbed sleep. Bless you.
