When to accept permanent long covid?

Contracted Covid pneumonia at the very beginning of it entering this country. Have dealt with symptoms for over five years greatly complicated by a simultaneously diagnosed incurable blood cancer requiring phlebotomy. Unfortunately, both conditions have some of the same symptoms of extreme fatigue, breathlessness, body pain, etc. My wonderful Primary Care Dr. is the first and only doctor to say, "I believe you will be living with these for the rest of your life." All other doctors, including my oncologist, are unhelpful about Long Covid. Doctors never learned anything about Covid in medical school, so are reluctant to offer opinions. Have had heart and lungs tested by four specialists who claim heart and lungs are "fine." HA! IF only I felt as "fine" as those organs seem to be. Yes, it appears some of use will never feel much better, so must adjust life accordingly. Post exertional malaise is HORRENDOUS! 'Nuff said and hugs to you all.

So sorry to hear your story. Glad your primary care doc is in your corner. You have gone through way too much. Very best wishes to you going forward. Keep hoping and remember this support group.
