Hello friend! I feel your physical and emotional pain and distress ! I am in process of getting my MYELOFIBROSIS CONFIRMED BY HAVING TO GO THROUGH ANOTHER BMB ! I honestly dread it ! I have pain from bad degenerative disc disease!! No way to fix it ! I do take anti inflammatory medication called MELOXICAM! Have to have every day!
I also have to deal with continuous depression!! I take two anti depressants daily !! So ! I must make certain to take them to function daily!! Please do not feel embarrassed about needing medication for depression!! Anyone who has to deal with serious illness needs help to cope with the burden of illnesses!
Speak to all doctors about getting some help with depression! When I do not take medication!! I begin to feel very weak and afraid of not being able to care for myself!! It’s a very disabling feeling!! I start to get anxious and panicky during the night !! It’s awful!! Please help yourself to be able to battle the illness !
I wish the best of for you
And strength to get stronger!
Sincerely

AML is a gift that just keeps on giving, isn’t it? 🥴 The blood transfusions can really give you a boost when counts are so low, but my goodness, 6.6 is very low…hopefully your doctor doesn’t let it get to that point again before you get a recharge! I’m so sorry your back is still being a problem child though. That’s the last thing you need on top of feeling like crud. No wonder you’re experiencing depression.
Not sure what to say about the bone marrow biopsy. It is a very important tool for assessing the effectiveness of the treatments but I can sure understand your hesitation with your back issues. Do you have the option of having mild sedation?
