Has anyone had severe back pain and burning sensation on Evenity after just starting ?And how long does it last or is it a sign to try another medication? It starts about 7 days after the injection and pain is severe you can’t do a thing.Thanks.

Did you tell your Dr about the rash and, if so, what response did you get? Did you decide to stop Evenity after the 2nd shot?

Thank you for your reply. I'm so sorry for your experience and hope you're doing well. You went through so much. I've done alot of research and most of the stats scare me. My dr feels eventity is the only solution for me to build bone at this point. Reclast sounds horrific as well. Fosamax is in the class of drugs but not as strong. I do have good oral hygiene and am worried about the jaw decay and stroke. I appreciate your reply and will buy that book. I wish you the best. God Bless

I'm not sure what's next for me. I'm 73 and in very good health other than my auto immune condition (prednisone). I have never broken a bone. My calcium levels are good and I walk and lift weights some. Honestly I'm willing to let it go and continue with my healthy life style. These drugs are too much like Russian roulette. The woman from the infusion center had a good analogy. "chances are low you'll get hit by a bus but you're not standing in the road waiting for it to happen."
3 years without improvement?!?! Keep asking questions. Remember you're in control. Don't get talked into something your gut says NO. My gut is telling me NO.

I agree. I’m still waiting. But need to consider as I am. But cautiously

I seemed to have no side effects from reclast although I have so much sciatic leg pain and lower back pain hard to tell if it’s worse because of reclast - I don’t have jaw problems but hair thinned out - going to have bone density in Aug we will see if reclast has helped

I just completed 12 months of Evenity.
I had so pain or side effects but I also didn’t have any gains .
The features in T7 and T11 did not progress but T8 fracture was new from my most recent scan.
I am doing the R.E.M.S test this morning and it will be telling as to what I need to do next.
I’m not very excited in doing more medications , but not opposed if necessary.
I have changed my diet and exercise regularly.
I’m a 57 year old male and my osteoporosis is a direct result from an injury 30 years back that had me on hard steroids like prednisone for several years.
Good luck to all and here’s to better health.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't have any gains or improvements with bone growth after 12 months of evenity. That's not encouraging. What else can they use...Tymlos? I just started evenity and petrified of side effects but need to grow bone.
Best of luck to you.
God Bless.

I know several that did have gains , unfortunately it didn’t work for me . Everyone is different, you may fare much better than others.
I won’t take anymore drugs moving forward, I’m trying a more holistic approach , I’ll keep you posted.
Best of luck to you .
