Purchase an ice machine STAT. Fill up large yogurt containers to make big ice cubes. Wrap your knee when you go o bed with the ice machine. Let it soothe your knee all night long.
Take a pain pill before bed for sure as well. Are you allowed NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti inflammatories like Ibuprofen...). Make a medication schedule for pain control.

I have an ice machine that I brought home from the hospital. I use it several times a day. I take advil every night before bed. I am now 9 werks 3 days out and the swelling is down and I am riding my recumbent bike on a daily basis.
