3 months post holep. I have recovery guilt reading all the different effects that it has on other men.
I had no underlying health issues, no pre op damage from years of same. Only one section became a ball valve and completely cut off my ability to urinate. Due to age (51) and current good health , I recovered already. I’m back to where I left off with only memories of my previous life of 6 bathroom visits every night. Full bladder 24/7/365

That is awesome. I am 73yo and couldn’t empty my bladder. Like you I was up 6 to 7 times a night at times. Kidneys backed up and not functioning properly. HOLEP done 3 Dec 2024. So tired of doing pelvic floor exercises. Everything works perfectly (urinating) as long as I am sleeping or sitting and doing nothing. If I am up walking and doing things around the house I have a difficult time urinating. I just completed my antibiotics for my 4th UTI since surgery yesterday. Never had a UTI in my life till I had the HOLEP procedure. Not sure what is causing the UTI and neither does my urologist or PCP. I am very frustrated to say the least. Can’t travel or do anything without having diapers with me in case I need to change. Not exactly what would be going on 5 months after HOLEP. Most people are back to normal, no incontinence within 6 months. The path I am on, I don’t see that happening. So tired of wearing and buying diapers. Frustrated in Arizona.
