After my 3rd ablation, my Dr put me on Pradaxa and if memory serves me I stayed on that for about 6 months. Since I was in sinus rhythm tht whole time, I discussed going off pradaxa with my Dr. I don’t think he was too enthusiastic about it but he understood my thoughts on continuing an anticoagulant. Plus the expense of it back then. I was also taking meds for high blood pressure and Toprol XL and Diltiazem. I didn’t start taking Eliquis until I went back into afib in December. It’s pricey too! Although not too bad for me. (About $130/90 day supply.)
