How long after heart surgery did you have your knee surgery..I have a torn meniscus I need to get a scope to fix. Thanks Sharon.

Hi @oliviasoma,
I had my knee surgery four months ago. That's four years after my open heart surgery. Everything was fine but the anesthesiologist wanted to be extra careful and put an arterial line in for better monitoring. HOCM and HCM post open heart surgery makes the anesthesiologists anxious! I was cleared for surgery by the Mayo Clinic right before my surgery, as in my local area HCM is unfamiliar and foreign.
