Twice! I got down to 31/2 mg of Prednisone and then had a flare. SO disappointing. I have had PMR for a year. Starting on 20mg.
Now my rheumatologist has prescribed an additional medication. Arava. 10mg going up to 20mg in a couple of weeks. Anyone have this additional med? I was to have Methotrexate, but he decided against that. No-one understands really, as we all look okay, but inside our bodies are in rebellion!
And my gosh! I bumped my leg lightly on the bed leg just now, and there is this large dark blood like blister! My skin is paper thin. Good to read about what other people are doing to help that. PMR is a beast! I got it from someone pushing me, accidentally, off my computer chair. Fell straight down, flat on my butt. 2 weeks later I felt totally disabled. And in pain. Shocking. Now, as we all do, I live trying to stay positive. But it's hard. First time here. So hello everyone!
