Hi! I am Eve. I live in Hawaii, which I think is kind to my pain. I have lower back pain, terrible Sciatica, a bone on bone knee, carpal tunnel, and neck pain and stiffness. I am near my grown children which I love!

Hi,
My name is Rick. I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis. The pain and getting around is slowly getting worse with each passing week. I just recently had a trial neuro stimulator implanted in my lower spine for seven days. I didn't think it was reducing the pain level very much until the unit was removed. Day 2 brings a lot of pain and I think I might go for the permanent unit.
My questions to the group is, has anyone had good or bad results over time with a spinal neuro stimulator, and what can be done about the stenosis itself?

Thanks ...

I live in Philadelphia, PA
I have had persistent lower back pain for over 50 years; I am 73. I have learned I am hypersensitive to pain and have fibromyalgia as well.
I love to walk in the woods and with friends, to bike and to swim. I like to read, weave, knit, and garden. I’m retired as a Clinical Social Worker. I am using the NoiGroup protocols now in PT and am feeling quite a bit of relief.

Hi - I’m Kathy - currently at a 10 with pain and making me nauseated - I feel like I should go to the ER. Started with sciatic nerve pain and pain that radiates to my left shoulder and down my arm. I had a nerve ablation on upper neck. I feel like ever since..pain all over and getting worse. Currently having calf pain and arm pain and sick to my stomach. I have IBS, bulging discs, joint pain and now this muscle pain that is beyond. Advil is not helping. I’ve been diagnosed with CSS and going to do a program but not sure what to do until that happens. Also have Osteopenia and arthritis. Been to so many doctors. This pain is so bad, I almost need to go to ER but not sure what they will do and I don’t want to go on Oxy. Scared and hopeless

Hello. I have had chronic back pain for 7 years and it has only worsened over the past 2 years. I have had several ablations and epidurals, as well as a lot of PT, but nothing has helped long term. It is caused by arthritis and spinal stenosis.

If you go to the ER, there is a chance you might get a group of physicians to get together and discuss your case. That might conjure up some ideas that could help your situation. If your pain is that bad, why not consider oxy if it becomes a viable option. Especially if it might bring your pain down and make life bearable again.

Have you considered going to a pain specialist? They know how to treat these conditions and there are other modalities that don't always include pain medication.
