Knee replacement
I had one replacement 6 months ago and me knee still feels like it's on fire 24/7 and I'm in pain all day and night. Severe pain still burning is horrible it feels like a tight band like barbed wire is wrapped around it. It gets very hot and aches. Drs. Day they see nothing wrong with it. It's not in my head no one would want this. Never again will I do this on my other knee.

My knee did that but stopped. I’m 4 months out and was about 85% from feeling nothing until I knelt on it 5 days ago. So stupid!! Now it aches, feels so tight and the dead side (left of scar) feels deader. I can still get a 127’ bend. Every day I pray before I get up that I will get back to where I was, walking 1.5 miles a day pain free. Just hang in there. They say it could take a year. I’m 75 and very active. My sister had a similar issue to yours and lost 50 pounds and her knee much improved. I’m about 20 pounds over weight. Don’t know if that could exacerbate the knee pain pressure. I understand your frustration and how it disrupts life.
Does your surgeon know about Arthrofibrosis? This is a tight, dysregulated form of scar tissue that can be caused by knee surgery or injury. Check out the "International Arthrofibrosis Association", and "Bonesmart.org" . These websites are very knowledgeable about these pain problems - I understand your fears of another replacement. I feel the same way - have had a revision surgery because my first TKR resulted in Arthrofibrosis, and left me with only 40 degrees flexion - had to limp all the time. The revision surgery was only 3 months ago, so still waiting to see if there is improvement. I do have 90 degrees flexion (so far). Best wishes...... most docs do not know much about Arthrofibrosis.
I’m so sorry about your experience. My surgeon does MUA for patients with less than 90 degrees. I asked about because I have only 110 degrees. Good luck increasing your ROM!
