Low Oxygen Levels, Has Anyone Not Been Able to Get Diagnosis

Posted by SusanEllen66 @SusanEllen66, Apr 14 1:26am

How can I have 02 levels that average 91, and nothing is apparently wrong.

I have had a checkup with my cardio, pulmonary, kidney and neurologist. They can’t find anything wrong.

I feel short of breath, I get clamy, I’m exhausted.

My brain isn’t getting enough oxygen, and I already have dementia…

I had a saddle pulmonary embolism a year ago . They are running tests to see why my oxygen is dropping so low. When walking 100 yds it went from 96 to 83. Doing ct angiogram ,titritation test, all kids of pulmonary test, and sleep apnea test no anyone else?

That is a different approach!

My lungs are good. GERD causes coughing at night, but I take liquid Mylanta before bed and that really helps.

GERD is a cause for of pulmonary fibrosis. Have you had a pulmonary function test? Are your percent of estimated functions within range for your age? There should be a diagnostic summary.

More than likely very small risk for obtaining arterial blood gases except somewhat painful....but that goes away quickly. Should be thankful you have physicians even wanting to work it into their differentials! better to get the whole picture in order to make a accurate diagnosis.

Have a complete blood work up . These things should show in bloodwork.
