Hello everyone,
I am recently diagnosed with ET and the Jak2 mutation.
Cubby 13, I feel exactly like you do. This fatigue is overwhelming.
I just read something on a Cleveland Clinic website about a drug specifically for ET fatigue. The name of the drug is Ruxolitinib.
Has anyone heard of or tried this drug.
Thank you for listening to me. I'm so grateful to have a support group.
Regards,
Mj

Hi @emma1971, Welcome to Connect. The medication you’re referring to, Ruxolitinib is actually a medication used to treat some blood cancers/conditions such as ET. Its brand name is Jakafi and there are several members who have ET that take this medication.

It’s not used specifically to treat fatigue caused by ET. But with treatment, some side effects of essential thrombocythemia might be relieved with medication.

Are you currently taking any medication for ET such as Hydroxurea?
