Why do fingers feel as if they are full of glass particles or slimey

Posted by ars37 @ars37, 6 days ago

I have constant pain in fingertips. When dry the fingers feel as if they are covered in glass dust. When wet..they feel slimy. Tested negative for inflammation, gout, arthritis, etc. Complete lipid panel.. wellness tests
Kidney function.. Liver..Xray.. bone density.. All numbers are good. On-
going 6years.. steady decline. Any suggestions?

Have you seen a rheumatologist?

@ars37
Have you seen a neurologist for small fiber neuropathy skin punch biopsy/bloodwork and EMG/nerve conduction studies of your upper limbs (peripheral neuropathy/radiculopathy to hands/fingers)? Do you have diabetes, do you smoke or drink?

You may also want a MRI of your cervical spine and brain to see if anything is affecting your central nervous system. A neurologist can order this imaging.
