I recently have become aware that UTI’s are a common perimenopause and menopause issue (due to the effects it has on the urethra) that purportedly can be helped greatly with low dose vaginal estrogen. I’m giving that a try. I am working with a couple of Gastro docs, including Dr. Sabine Hazan whose lab, ProgenaBiome, can study the microbiome. I can’t wait to ask them about the oregano, coconut oil, preventative Vanco, etc. I also read that manuka honey, bentonite clay and activated charcoal can help keep this cursed bacteria away. I will talk to docs before I try though.
*Hoping for continued success in your fight against C Diff. *

Hi,
I do use Intra Rosa which is a vaginal insert for the UTI's. As for preventative Vanco, I had to take it twice a day prior to using the Vowst since it was the only thing that kept it under control so I could take the Vowst. Vowst needs to be taken three to four days after Vanco treatment. The delay in taking Vowst is because all antibiotic must be out of the system or, residual antibiotic could kill off the Vowst.
I took the Vanco with me when I was traveling, just in case something would happen.
Good luck and please let me know what they have to say about the oregano and coconut oils. 🙂
