Hi, I guess I'm replying to myself here! Having seen a different doctor, he tells me that the whole membrane is scar tissue, so I don't know what my other doctor was talking about. Anyhow, the doctor says he would not himself have the surgery because of the possibility of it becoming even worse. I would appreciate a response from someone with this same problem. If they had the surgery, what was the result?

My understanding is that the surgery has so many negatives that it is only worth doing once your visual acuity has declined past a certain threshold. In other words, until your vision is bad enough, the cost of doing the surgery isn’t worth the benefit it may provide.
