what is your experience with fosamax?

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. My doctor wants me to take Formax. Have anyone taken this and did it help and did you experience any side effects?

crebecca, is your doctor giving you any choices. Fosamax can cause reflux but might not cause it for you. You are supposed to be careful an stay upright for an hour after taking it with a glass of water. Are you seeing an endocrinologist?

@crebecca - If you are comfortable sharing, have you tried any medications prior to this or will Fosamax be your first osteoporosis medication?
