Hi, I wanted to weigh in on this discussion. After a colonoscopy in December of 2015, I ended up with C Diff. I also had a fecal transplant in 2019. I was free of C Diff for a long time. If I had to take a antibiotic, I also took Vancomycin and for about a week after antibiotics ended. I have no idea how, it came back with a vengeance June 2024. I tried Dificid, only gave me 7 days C Diff free. I was on Vanco twice a day, just to keep it at bay. My GI doc did a colonoscopy to verify that there wasn't anything else going on in my GI tract. I did do the Vowst. I finished the Vowst March 26, 2025. It's been a month and so far so good. I'm hopeful that it will continue to be a good. When I travel, I always carry Vanco, just in case. My GI doc does not advise probiotics. I had taken them for years. The person at Vowst advised not to take any probiotics for at least two weeks after the Vowst. I haven't taken any and I don't know if I want to start them again since there is so much back and forth about the effectiveness of them.

@darlenem2 Hi everyone, I want to give any update to my taking the Vowst March 2025. So far so good, still doing well. Most days I don't even think about it, but on the the 26th of every month I count off another month C Diff free. I still feel it is something that it can come back at any time. I have stayed off any type of antibiotics. I didn't take any even after one of my dental crowns needed to be replaced. I talked to my dentist and explained that I would not take any even if he thought I should. After explaining my experience, he was agreeable to my concerns. One other thing, I have not taken probiotics either. I'm trying not to disturb the GI tract with anything that could upset the gut microbiome.
Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed Christmas and a C Diff free 2026 and beyond.
